Andy Miller is a man who went from one life to another in a moment.

9/11. He lost over 100 friends on that day when the planes struck the Twin Towers.

He had worked on Wall Street for 8 years, until the year before.

After 9/11, for the next month, he basically sat in front of the tv and cried and thought of doing a lot of things - including becoming a sniper so he could take care of those guys, one at a time.

Then he realized the military doesn't need or want a 40-year-old sniper.

So he decided to find out why the people who flew into the Twin Towers hated Americans as much as they did. He picked up a copy of the Qur'an and all their other holy books and read them. The answer was as clear as anything he had ever seen, how they were to treat non-Muslims, if they were not willing to convert or pay the jizra - the special tax demanded from all non-Muslims. Reading these books told him everything he needed to know.

But it was still years before he started taking action that felt right.

Instead, he felt like he was standing on top of of a building, screaming at the people way down below, people walking by, either covering their ears, or glancing and walking on because it made them a little uncomfortable, and occasionally looking up and saying that sounds right.

The drive to get the truth heard got him to the motto of the Tennessee Freedom Coalition. Bringing Truth to Light.

A big thing for Andy, from his business background: Is it working? He knew what he did first was not working.

So when, several years ago, he founded the Tennessee Freedom Coalition, he really cared that things worked. The first event: Geert Wilders. Andy expected maybe one thousand people. There were three thousand.

He's done a number of other events, again successful - but pulling mainly the same people.

Andy Miller wants more - like the video, Losing Our Sons, which has been widely acclaimed. It's about 2 American fathers who lost their sons - both to Islamic jihad. One became a terrorist. The other was shot by that terrorist.

Something else recent, which turned into a very powerful experience: going to Europe with a number of Tennessee politicians, several of whom were skeptics before the trip. They visited a number of European cities, in each of them walking into the No Go zones, experiencing what this is like for non-Muslims. They experienced not only being unwelcome, but even threatened - and this at ten in the morning.

Quite a wake-up call.
