It takes special qualities to be willing to openly tell the truth about Islam.

For years, Steve Amundson has been doing just that.

What to do on Saturday night? Watch a chick flick? Go bowling? No, wait. What about hanging out on a busy shopping street, setting up a table with brochures that tell the truth about Islam, and talking with those who come by.

About 40% of passersby are Islamic - and they're rarely pleased with what they see.

Regularly at the table - Steve Amundson, Saturday Night warrior, with his weapon of choice, truth. Truth in the form of brochures. Easy to read. Lots of facts.

And yet Steve never expected anything like this. He was a regular kid, and grew up to have a full life that did not include activism.

The first change came when he watched the second plane hit the second tower. He knew he had to learn about Islam.

But even then, there wasn't any activism. For years he was learning, searching, studying.

But Steve knew it wasn't enough for him to KNOW. He needed to get the word out. About 6 or 7 years ago, he found the activist route that was right for him. He and some friends formed the CounterJihadCoalition. They created a couple of brochures. And one large poster. Then it was time to take their project out into the world.

The project has grown, and keeps growing.
